Illinois Tollway I-355 Roadway Resurfacing and Bridge Repair, I-80 to Army Trail Road

This involved roadway resurfacing using precast pavement patches and bridge repairs on over 30 miles of I-355 (Veteran’s Memorial Tollway) from I-80 to Army Trail Road in Will and DuPage Counties, Illinois. ISTHA used this project to demonstrate the patching method to various country representatives who visited the sight to observe the installation operation.

Cotter provided the resident engineer and inspectors for the project as part of a joint venture. Services included on-site inspection, contract review, design change oversight, geotechnical inspection and testing, record preparation, and project documentation.
